Burnicombe FarmBurnicombe Farm is in a sheltered valley on the edge of Dartmoor in Devon. The farm’s 110 acres of unspoilt beauty is made up of rugged downland, wild moorland, rolling luscious pasture, bountiful orchards and ancient woodland. The land is bordered by crystal clear streams which tumble through the farm to the rolling Teign River at the bottom of the valley. Abundant with rare plants and magnificent trees - the habitat for masses of wildlife - from birds and bats to deer and damselflies. Things to do at Burnicombe Farm* Climb the great granite Tor on the northern boundary of our farm - ominously called Heltor.

* Meet our small herd of goats which we milk each day.
* Visit our ice cream laboratory in the farm yard where we make and sell hand made ice cream from all natural and locally sourced ingredients . You might be lucky if recipe testing is in progress!
* Fire, friends and fun
In the field adjacent to the wood land camp is a beautiful Glade, overlooked by the majestic Heltor. This is a natural meeting place to socialise if you feel like it, where children can play, have fun on the ropes and swings hanging from the trees, play ball games together and where older kids can just hang out. A bonfire can be lit in the evening and tables and chairs are provided so people can get together and enjoy. Barbeques can be used in the Glade and are available to hire from the farm house. Barbeques are banned from the woodland as it is unsafe to use them and they disturb the wild life
* Nature Watch Hides
All kinds of wild and protected animals and birds are much in evidence in our valley at Burnicombe including deer, hare, badgers and foxes, snipe, grouse and barn owl. We have installed nature watch hides on Burnicombe Down and on the Moorland Field where you can quietly wait and watch these facinating animals.
